Our Mission

The mission of the school is to utilize the full resources of Brentwood Baptist Church and the community in providing programs designed to meet the developmental needs (spiritual, emotional, physical, intellectual and social) of young children and provide an effective ministry to their families.

Ages and Admission

Brentwood Young Children’s School has classes for children ages eight months through pre-kindergarten. Children must be eight months old by August 31 to participate in the Parent’s Day Out (2-day PDO) program. Children must be three years old by August 15 (and completely potty trained) to participate in the Preschool program. A registration form and registration fee of $125 must be submitted for your child to be considered for admission. You will be contacted as soon as a place becomes available. If there are no openings available, then your child will be placed on our waiting list.

Our Preschool. Our Family. Our Community.

In August of 1972, with five classes and 47 children, Brentwood Young Children’s School (BYCS) opened its doors. To meet the needs of a growing church and the community’s young parents, the school has grown to 20 classes and 218 children. The children in our program come from a variety of denominations and religious faiths. BYCS has been the first and sometimes only church contact for some families. What a wonderful ministry opportunity we have right in our own backyard!
